During my practicum I participated in a field trip with student to Elora PS and we rehabilitated their courtyard. Students from both green industries classes and photography classes were present to assist with the project. We spent a day cleaning, weeding, trimming, and organizing the courtyard. At the end of the day students had a chance to have a meeting with teachers and administration from the school to make a plan of action for rejuvenating some of the gardens and structures over the next few years. I work with students to create some designs for these gardens and structures in a CAD design project. I learned a great deal about collaborative teaching and project with other schools, and hope to use this knowledge in the future.
