For my service learning project I decided to run a workshop with my church's youth group. The workshop focused on sustainable design and included some direct instruction via PowerPoint presentation and demonstration, as well as practical hands on designing. The day was laid out as such:

Sustainable Design Presentation - 1hr

Break - 15 min

Foam Core Modelling Demonstration - 15 min

Rough Design Time - 30 min

Foam Core Modelling Time - 3 hours

This project was a great experience. The youth I had a chance to work with were very intrigued by the thought of designing an outbuilding of some kind for the church so that we could bring some more modernity to an orthodox church.
